Here's a heads up for the Reading Hash on Sunday. ON ON at 2 pm, Thun Trail
parking lot on Route 10, just up from Trooper Thorns. About 1.5 miles north of
Rt. 10 intersection with Rt. 222 Business, Lancaster Ave. Should be a fun hash,
about 4 miles, some road, some trail, some shiggy, some beer, some laughs and
good times for sure. A great 'apre with Oktoberfest theme.

If you have been to a Santa Hash you know that he often DOES F The Hash - leading us down trails with no marks, no beer and no purpose. Somehow, most of us usually manage to find our way to the apres where gayly wrapped gifts are exchanged and fun is had by all. Come to the this hash - knowing you will be f'd by Santa. Bring your gayly wrapped gift (booze, hash-related stuff, sex toys, etc - dont be a cheap bastard) for the exchange. Wear a kilt for the apres and Santa might give you his special holiday squeeze. ONON: Intersection of Rt 724 & Gibralter Rd and Old River Rd. Aprox 2m east of 176/724/422 interchange. Gravel parking (724 side of railroad tracks). Thun Trail access. This will be a trail running hash. 2006 We've stayed in other Quality Inn's but never again! The room was a
standard king bed room. The bathroom was the worst...a dirt ring around
the tub, smell of urine, toilet seat unattached to the toilet bowl,
faucets backwards so that you got cold when you should have gotten hot and
vice versa. Bed sheets didn't even reach the top of mattress to the
headboard, the blanket had large holes in it and room was dusty. Front
desk staff was not hospitable at all, didn't even say good morning to
guests as they passed by. Not helpful and just an awful place. Stayed one
night for a local wedding and could not leave. If we had a choice we would
have turned around upon entry. STAY AWAY! There will be FREE haberdashery for all who attend. Last year's t-shirts will be for sale. The brewery is NOT giving Saturday tours over the winter so cum Friday if you want to tour. See www.yuengling.com for info. ONON INFO: 1440 Mahantongo Street (between 14th and 15th Street); Pottsville, PA 17901 on the Yuengling Mansion grounds—that means the property around the mansion—not the mansion itself. early! We will be leaving from Pendora Park
on Perkiomen Avenue on the east side of Reading.
Dry Bags Recommended. Cash is customary $5
Now a quiet playground, Pendora Park under the Lindberg Viaduct in East Reading was once a gala park. It was also the start and finish of the Mt Penn Gravity Railroad. The railroad consisted of 7.5 miles of track. Starting beside Pendora Park at the south end of Mt. Penn, there were 2.5 miles of track to the summit of the mountain, then 5 miles of track for the return trip back to Pendora Park. The entire trip took about 45 minutes. Here is how it used to look:

THE HALLOWEEN GATHERING Well, we had a "normal" hash planned - costumes, beer, food, some trail through areas where people can gawk and point at us. Then we got word that the 2nd Annual "Fitzy's Run" will be the same day. Last year, EVERYDAY, OE, JUSTY, QUARTER POUND HER and SEMEN SURPRISE did the event. It benefits the American Brain Tumor Foundation. With QPHs condition this is a charity that is close to many of us. The inaugural event in 2005 was a blast - a fun run with live music, food and a some nice giveaways. And of course we carried beer before, during and after the trail. So.... this hash will start with this run. Full registration info is here. Tshirts to the first 300. They had DOUBLE the number they expected for the first ones so rego early After thinking about the 2005 event I have concluded it is probably better if we just do the 5k, attend the social and hang out with QUARTER POUND HER. A Gathering Of H5/Reading/Lehigh Valley Hashers Mtn Biking, Kayaking, Hiking, Drinking Payment is needed by May 1st 2006 This is a combined H5, Reading & Lehigh Valley H3 Hash, hared by ANGEL, Eager Beaver, Succubus & M’Orally Challenged. It is a campout and it will take place in Jim Thorpe, PA (http://www.jimthorpecamping.com/). Hash cash: $15 for day trip only; $30 for overnight camping. Includes beer, trail, campsite, dinner, breakfast and, of course, beer. There will be a Sunday mountain bike ride! Join Gopher Poker as he leads you on a great trail ride on some gnarly trails in Jim Thorpe. It’s dog friendly and there’s a pool & lake, so bring your swimsuits. First round is on OE at the posted meeting time. Champion's Sports Bar & Grille (formerly The Hideout) Time: 9PM Rumor is it that its "Naughty Schoolgirl Nite". Future locations will be more suitable for a social gathering and at an earlier hour but we are running out of June days and it would be a crying shame to be somewhere else in Reading when we could be supporting this hash-friendly pub on this evening

READING AGM - The Electing Of The Next Fool It's a TUESDAY night - come marvel at the democratic process as a new Grandmaster is e'rected. Vote early and vote often. This is a social event with no trail. Dress is "hash formal" for males and "hash sexy" for females. This means most of the males will be in some part of a suit or tux with shorts or sneakers. Many of the bimbos wear formalwear or (please!) skanky hobag clothes. Live out your streetwalker fantasy! An auction will take place so bring hashy items to sell and wads of cash to spend. This auction helps pay RH3 expenses for the next two years.

Wow! Its been 50 trails already? Gather to celebrate DECOY surviving two years of Grandmastership. Shiggy, food, giveaways and free-flowing beer!! Location: Morgantown, Berks County, PA. (lookout BIGRIG - there will probably be a bunch of hash crash moochers knocking on your door!) PA Turnpike Exit 298 This is a one day event but drunkenness may force you to stay overnight. Joanna Furnace is located approx 2.5 miles north of Morgantown, PA on
Rt. 10.
Directions from PA Turnpike: Take
PA Turnpike to Exit #298. After tollbooths, turn right onto Rt. 10
North in the direction of Plowville. Follow Rt. 10 for approx 2 miles
and look for the ON-ON Foot signs. You'll take a RH Turn onto Furnace
Road, go up and around the Furnace site itself, and then make another
right down the hill to the parking lot.
Directions from Reading: From
Reading, Take Rt. 10 South. Just after you see the signs indicating
that you are entering "New Morgan", look for ON-ON Foot signs to guide
you to a left hand turn on Furnace Road. Go up and around the Furnace
site itself, and then make another right down the hill to the parking
lot.
Apres Location: The Apres will be
held at the Liberty Fire Company in Morgantown. The street address is
3307 Main Street in Morgantown. We've rented the Friendship Hall, and
will have it from 3PM to 8PM (or until the beer runs out, whichever
comes first).

PUB CRAWL & MIDNIGHT CEREMONY AT HANNAHOE'S GRAVE
OE will be stopping at the Ugly Oyster, The Peanut Bar to see the portrait of Tom Hannahoe (only hung on St Patrick's Day) and then onto the rockin' party at Trooper Thorn's. The best place to meetup is at Trooper's after 8PM. The music starts at 9PM. I may hit Jokers although I know nothing about this place. We will leave there around 1140PM to goto the grave for the legendary Hannahoe's Grave service. After the musician's finish their three moving songs we will walk to the grave. As Irish & USA flags flutter in the wind we place coins on his grave and will lift pints and Jameson shots in his memory. This is a kilted day so if you have one - wear it! If you don't, get one! It all ends after the grave - around 1230. Or maybe I will go on to Champion's for one last beer.... After two years of pathetic hasher turnout I am not renting a van this year. I am planning on a van and formal pub crawl in 2007.

Start the day in Lancaster. The day is piped in at 7AM but you have to get there earlier to
get a seat. Hashpool leaves at 6AM. Yes, 6AM.
Its worth it as this gathering is a blast!!! Depending on how things
turn out, we may goto one or two other Irishy places there. You will
be home by noon.
